- The Daily Herald out of Chicago mentions that the Maple Leafs and Blackhawks GM’s might be discussing a trade. The Hawks might be looking for a Dman, while the Leafs would like to move a Dman for a scoring forward. The article mentions Tomas Kaberle and Patrick Sharp. Both have similar cap hits.
- The New Jersey Devils might be looking to add free agent and one time Devil, Brendan Morrison. The Devils still need to sign RFA, Travis Zajac, who has filed for salary arbitration.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets are looking for a puck moving defenceman. The Sharks, Leafs, and Oilers have some Dmen who might fit the bill.

Kaberle goes nowhere the Leafs would have to turn around and find another D like him and his 4 mil a year is a bargain. The Hawks want a bone cruncher more likely Exelby will move you may even see a 2 for 2 swap with draft picks involved. Versteeg has also been mentioned along with Dustin Byfuglien. But I for one definitely think that the rumors they are talking trade is very true. Supposedly talks with the Blues also. Maybe Boyes is in The Leafs radar???
