TSN: The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Kris Versteeg and the rights to Bill Sweatt from the Chicago Blackhawks for Viktor Stalberg, Chris DiDomenico, and Philippe Paradis.
Versteeg has 101 points in 170 games, 44 goals and 57 assists.
Sweatt was a 2nd round pick in 2007, 38th overall. He just finished his 4th season at Colorado College where he recored 109 points in 143 games, 46 goals and 63 assists.
Stalberg had 9 goals and 5 assists in 40 games during his rookie season last year.
Paradis was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes last year for Jiri Tlusty and was the 27th overall pick in 2009.

Stalberg should be the happiest guy here — this almost make it automatic, that he will become a very good player.

Smallish player, but productive in his first two season. I dont know that he will be able to step up to the top two lines and produce though?

Versteeg is one of the better stick handlers in the nhl, probably was second to kane on the hawks, sad to see him go but hopefully this works out for both teams
