“Matthew Lombardi is headed out of the desert and into the Music City, signing a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Nashville Predators.
The 28-year-old centre had spent the last two seasons with the Coyotes before becoming a free agent.” (Source:TSN)
It’s just my opinion but this is the guy the Calgary Flames should have brought back…

Lombardi or Ollie?
Same price: who would you rather?

Exactly, Lombardi is younger too (3 years younger). I’d be very concerned with the decisions being made in the Flames organization if I were a fan…
I also wonder what Jarome Iginla is thinking right about now, considering Matt Stajan is locked in to a ridiculous 4 year deal, worth $3.5 mil/season, and the only help on the horizon comes in the form of Olli Jokinen? Yikes.

They liked Ollie more than Lombardi when they acquired him the 1st time (traded for each other, along with a 1st) … and I guess they like him more this time as well…
I don’t get it.

Over/Under number of months Sutter remains with the Flames. Im thinking before Jan 31 he is fired.
