Close but not quite yet for Ducks and Bobby Ryan

7:20 pm: Helene Elliott, according to agent Don Meehan, “We have no deal in place at all.” Elliott is also saying the Ducks say the Ryan signing is false.

7:02 pm: A source informed Larry Brooks that the Anaheim Ducks and Bobby Ryan agreed to a 5 year deal worth approximately $5.5 million per season. Helene Elliott hasn’t received confirmation on the deal, and would be shocked if it was for more than Getzlaf and Perry are getting, $5.325 million through 2012-13.

Bob McKenzie is saying the deal isn’t done yet, but could be in 5 minutes, but could also be 5 hours or 5 days. Craig Custance is saying there is no deal yet, negotiations are ongoing.

Say what..? Wasn’t Bobby Ryan traded to the Leafs for Tomas Kaberle?

I’d trade Jordan Staal for Bobby Ryan straight up. Would be a nice piece to play with Crosby.
