Attendance has been a hot topic at various points this season. Record lows are hitting some arenas despite the fact that the team is winning. I’ve been keeping track of home attendance and have put together attendance figures for each NHL team after 10 home dates, along with their numbers from the last 2 seasons.
Will Phoenix’s season average drop below 10,000? Will fans in Columbus and Atlanta start to recognize the teams current success? Despite being in playoff contention and not having an owner, will fans in Dallas start to head back to the arena? The Stars are averaging 3,354 less than last year.
Don’t hesitate to leave a comment on your thoughts on NHL attendance so far this season. I plan on posting an update at the 20 game mark.

If Toronto or Montreal could hold 100k per game they would still sellout. Go Leafs Go!

So when it says attendance, does that number represent the amount of people at the games or just the number of tickets purchased. I’m wondering how many tickets are sold (given as in kind ad deals) to corporations that don’t get used. I use to live in AZ and worked for ConocoPhillips and because I was the only Canadian working their they gave me all the Coyotes tickets. Nobody else in the head office cared.

Interesting to see who’s at the top of the list there.

I’ve always been a little baffled by the fact that there are hockey fans in places like Tampa Bay. Maybe because I have always lived in northern climates I am biased, but it would not surprise me if there were not so many fans in hot places.

I live in the Uk and am a regular supporter of the Nottingham Panthers. As we get around two or three thousand attending each game the NHL attendance figures just blow me away.
One of my great ambitions is to one day get to Canada and experience the atmosphere at a game with twenty plus thousand. It must be awsome.

I’ve read a few good stuff here. Certainly value bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how much effort you set to make the sort of wonderful informative website.
