Players with the worst plus/minus so far this season

So the all-star break is upon us (yawn), and in honor this 4 day break, I decided to put together a list of the worst plus/minuses so far this season. I’m still amazed (and annoyed, on my fantasy team) that Kovalchuk leads this category. I know he doesn’t always focus on the defensive side of the things but…..  Finding 4 San Jose Sharks is also a bit of a surprise. Maple Leafs defenseman/forward Brett Lebda is a funny case as he’s a -19 in 22 games, that’s terrible.

    Leafs with Lebda:
    6 – 12 – 4 (60 pts.)
    Leafs without Lebda:
    12 – 13 – 1 (79 pts.)

Lebda managed to be -3 in a 9-3 win over Atlanta. He has a gift!

On Lebda’s magical night, his -3 was in 13:54 minutes. 3:00 minutes on the PP, 10:54 even strength.

Tim Brent was a -2 that game. Beauchemin, Crabb, Orr, and Phaneuf were -1.

I just did a yahoo fantasy rankings search … They list 1527 players …. Brett Lebda is #1527 …. Now that takes skill.

Being rated lower than Wade Redden and Jeff Finger is some accomplishment. Rated lower than Jeff Finger. I can’t even say that with a straight face.

Also “magical” is truly excellent description there.
