Capitals acquire Dennis Wideman from the Panthers


The Washington Capitals have traded for defenseman Dennis Wideman.

Mike Vogl: The Capitals will send a 2011 3rd round pick and Jake Hauswirth to the Panthers.

    Good acquisition for the Caps. Add some depth for a middling draft pick.
    Wideman has also been good in the playoffs with 22pts in 30 career playoff games.

    He’s on my fantasy team, but it is straight points and with 9 teams and 4 D positions (plus usually one on the bench) you are getting thin when you need to draft the 45th defenceman taken!
