TSN: The Vancouver Canucks have traded the rights to defenseman Christian Ehrhoff to the New York Islanders for a 2012 4th round pick.
The Canucks reportedly offered Ehrhoff the same 5 year, $23 million deal as Kevin Bieksa just signed for.
The Islanders now have until Friday to get him signed before he hits the open market.
