What do you think of the new Jets logo?

Pretty lame IMO

I’m disappointed with it. Kind of blah

I like it, but it definitely looks more like a secondary logo/shoulder patch than a primary logo. I’ll wait to see what it actually looks like on a jersey before I pass final judgement…

I was thinking the same thing Joseph. It might look good on a jersey, but I’m leaning towards not liking it.

I think it would look like a good logo to see at the draft table. not so sure about on the jerseys tho (unless its on the arm). kinda waiting to see the jerseys before i say anything else

nice concept… But the Jet looks a little cartoony/clip-art-y…
What’s with the red-spike @ the bottom of the maple leaf?

I think that the disappointment here is just a compounded issue caused by retaining the “jets” name. IMO the club made a big mistake by returning to the jets, it lines them up with a history that is not theirs to claim. I understand the nostalgia in Winnipeg to “have their jets back” but it really pigeon holes the claim in terms of expectations.
The reason I say this is I think a lot of the disappointment stems from the fact that this new logo (while I think it is decent – not great, not bad) does NOT live up to the nostalgia that people are feeling.
If ownership had the courage to go with a new name I don’t think the logo would be as big of a deal – while people will always be split on logos (at least at first) the excitement for the new club would be more powerful than the expectation that the good ‘ol jets will return. A fresh start all around would have been the better way to go.
Lastly – I don’t like the whole air force military thing… I think it sends a weird message in a nation that is traditionally peace-keeper rather than military. But that is my personal bias on foreign policy which the club is bringing into the discussion with its choice.
But that is coming from a flames fan without any ties to the city or nostalgia for their NHL past.

Not a primary logo all secondary. I think any logo that was not the jets is a fail.

With their new CF logo, that old Nazi gasbag, Don Cherry just blew his wad (sans Viagra!)

PS: They should have at least made the jet an Avro Arrow, instead of something US made, no?

remind me of younger days when my great erection would stand up my tummy like the jet

Too many pieces, no substances. Doesn’t have a strong impact to be considered the primary logo, definitely a secondary.

They should have pick the old logo…..They seem to have tried to make a little more futuristic logo but they ended with a kind of a canadian plane compagny logo…

I think its pretty sweet. Well done Canada… your still a 3rd world country though…

I am a NHL fanatic from the Netherlands and I was very happy that the old name Jets is again the teams name, but I also thought that a kind of old logo was getting used and I exited getting the new jersey, but now they came up with this WWII logo which I don’t like a bit. It doesn’t rhyme using the Jets name with this logo. Pleaseeeee rethink it and use the old logo before it’s to late, or maybe they can play the whole season and play-offs in the 3rd jersey which must be vintage. Greetings Jan kiefte (new Jets fan if the jerseys are okay, joke)

The logo is horrible, just goes to show you Canada doesn’t have taste. The presentation video is even worse than the logo, did Michael Bay make that video.
