Bob McKenzie via twitter: Capitals defenseman Mike Green will have a disciplinary hearing today for his hit on Brett Connolly last night.
It looks like a suspendable hit. How many game do you think he’ll get?

I’d give him 6-8 game’s! Elbow come’s up,puck was already going up the ice. And Connollly was already checked.
And with the Cap’s in a flight for there playoff live’s this could really screw-up there season.

I’m thinking he’ll get 5 games. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s less than 5 though, suspension lengths seem to decrease as the year goes on.

id give mike green 10 days in jail for having a fauxhawk 10 years after they went out of style… unless your a 12 year old boy… you shouldnt have one.. and should be directly thrown in jail.

Give him the BOTD and a game or two. Can’t have the elbows up there, but at the same time Connolly’s change in position because of the hit and the fact that the hit caused a confusing bevy of humanity behind the net certainly gives the impression of more than an accident.
Plus, Shanahan tends to suspend based on outcome of hit, and I don’t believe Connolly is hurt. 2 games max.
