4million only a year?!? Pssh I bet money teams will put in offer sheets for about 6-8mil a year!!

hopefully this is a situation where a team finally comes along and breaks this ridiculous gentleman’s agreement not to offer sheet players…
if your a playoff team already, give up the late round picks to get schneider… chicago maybe? new jersey?
this would work out in toronto/florida’s favour if vancouver matched a higher offer sheet… they would be desperate to unload loungo…

IF an agreement is already made I dont think anyone can put in offers

Yeah I think fil is right, the other team has to make the offer first, then Vancouver has five days to match that offer. Also, four mil is about right, Schneider hasn’t even played a full season yet, I think you gotta prove yourself to b earning 6 to 8 mill!!!

Quick agreed to a 10 year 50 mil deal, so roughly 5 mil a year. He’s won a cup now, so I’d say 4 mil a year is pretty good!

He’s basically off the market I think now, so there will be no place for offer sheets if it gets done in the coming days.
Also, an offer sheet contains picks through rounds 1-3, no low picks there.
You can trade for his right before expiry for lower picks, but why would Vancouver do that?
