Rumors and Notes: Parise, Suter, Ryan, Sabres, Brodeur – Blackhawks and Leafs, Winnik, Oilers and Blues

  • Chip Alexander via twitter: Hearing the Hurricanes have made offers for both Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford said if they don’t get Parise, they’re “back in the trade market right away.”
  • Ansar Khan via twitter: The Red Wings hope to be able to meet with Ryan Suter on Monday face-to-face. If he wants to meet in person has yet to be seen.
  • Bob McKenzie via twitter: Expect Ryan Suter to get a 10 year deal with an average of $7 million plus, with $28 million in the 1st 2 years.
  • Will DePaoli via twitter: The Penguins have made a call on Daniel Winnik. Pens looking for depth forward. Could come back to Arron Asham.
  • Andy Strickland via True Hockey: The Blues have interest in Matt Carle. Other Dmen options could be Jason Garrison, Filip Kuba, Bryce Salvador and Carlo Colaiacovo. On the trade side of things, Jay Bouwmeester, Keith Yandle and Paul Martin.
