  • Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger: Devils Adam Henrique had surgery back on Nov. 29th to re-attach ligaments in his left thumb. He’s expect to be out until February, and will likely need some games in the AHL before he’s ready to return.

“It’s coming along. I haven’t started skating yet,” Henrique said of his thumb. “Right now I’m just working out and going to therapy every day to just get the motion back and to get the strength back. We need to make sure we take the time to get it where it needs to be so I can play the same way I played before.”

  • Bob McKenzie via twitter: Flyers Daniel Briere will likely be out of the lineup for 2 to 3 weeks. Brayden Schenn and Jakob Voracek are candidates to fill in for him on the line with Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell.
  • Damian Cristodero via twitter: Lightning Mattias Ohlund: “Clearly I’m not going the way I thought or everybody wanted when I had my surgery. I’m not close to even skating.”
