Oilers acquire Mark Fistric from Stars for a pick

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defeseman Mark Fistric from the Dallas Stars for a 2013 3rd round pick.

Fistric was drafted in the 1st round, 28th overall in 2004 by the Stars. (Mike Green was drafted 29th)

Fistric will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, carrying a $1.475 million salary and cap hit. He’ll join a blueline that could include a combination of: Ryan Whitney, Justin Schultz, Nick Schultz, Ladislav Smid, Jeff Petry, Theo Peckham and Corey Potter.
