People who do not understand hockey have no business owning a professional team. The Islanders have a respectable history and prospects that could turn the team around but the Player Development and Management need to go. There is no excuse why Nino Niederreiter and Ryan Strome are not playing in the NHL. I would request a trade if I was any young player with the Islanders. Why they are content to playing waiver wire pickups instead of their youth is baffling unless they are sandbagging it to get a shot at Seth Jones or Nathan MacKinnon. Someone should ask Parenteau to honestly explain why he left. There were rumors about the Devils and the atmosphere before Parise left so that was no surprise but I am wondering who is making life miserable on the Island. The Owner? The Coach? or maybe the GM? Young players just want to play. Give them their shot or trade them!
