The NHL has suspended Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn for one for his hit on Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov.
Shanahan deemed the hit as “charging” and that Schenn left his feet and made contact with Volchenkov’s head.

Still waiting for the “LOL, JK” from Shanahan.

Seeing the other angles I have no problem with that suspension. It wasn’t the worst of hits by any means but it was a bit high and he did leave his feet. One game is probably just about right.
Does anyone know how much players can get fined now? I remember reading somewhere that part of the new CBA was the possibility of bigger fines that might open up a level of discipline between suspensions and nothing. The old fines were pretty pathetic(1500$ if I remember correctly)
