Volchenkov should have his head up and he would bave been able to avoid the hit or be prepared. Suspending a player for a big hit is ridiculous hockey is a contact game. He may have left his feet or he may of come off as he was hitting him. Either way it should not be a suspension maybe a minor penalty for charging and that is big maybe. There is no intent to injure either if he wanted to hurt him be would have stuck his elbow up. His hands were in the chest not the head. Not a chance. But, should we consider giving someone a suspension for tripping? Apples and oranges I know, but both a charging penalty and tripping aren't exactly on the same level as, say, boarding.
