To summarize, Subban is greedy and very overrated. I hope he sits all year. I hate Montreal but I hope they wait him out.

While I hear you Dave, Getzlaf and Perry are attached to Anaheim and are loyal to the franchise.
That’s a huge difference between them and Schultz. Even if they decided it’s time to leave, I’m sure it’s the last of their interests to cripple Anaheim during the process.
I still strongly feel they’re going to sign. Ofc the sooner the better.

For everyone saying the Ducks won’t “lose” players for nothing all i have to say is 1 name, Justin Schultz. Even if the team is willing to pay top dollar who says Getzlaf and Perry are even going to want to stay and play for the Ducks again, especially if they miss the playoffs for a 2nd yr in a row? Until their names are on a new contract anythings possible, just like Schultz passing up on almost every other team in the league to go play in Edmonton.

Aside from the leafs, i wonder if edmonton might go after perry… good fit… or how about the senators? with alfie leaving, he would work good there as well… both teams could put together a good package..

toronto is still jerking there goaltenders around.put rimer in the net and leave him there. once in awhile put stevens in stevens is going to be good someday but rimer is the best win or lose with the best and if the manger or coach not going to do that get rid of them too.

Why would they let either go? Like AJ said, they’ve got plenty of cap space, unlike Philly, and Detroit will be looking to add defense. I’m sure there’s a huge market out there for both, but not many teams have the prospects, players and picks (and cap space) that it would require to get and keep either.

Yeah for the Ducks sake hopefully they can either sign them and worst case trade the rights for something. Even if they don’t though, those players got them a cup so they didn’t get nothing from them.

Bob Stauffer is incorrect. Backlund was playing in the Alveksan prior to the lockout ending, and was in the top 10 in points. Just sayin.
