Injury notes: Landeskog, Michalek, Skinner, Booth, Dubinsky, Wisniewski, Gallagher, Crawford, Powe and Daley.
  • Adrian Dater of the Denver Post: Dater wonders if it would be better for the Avalanche to shut Gabriel Landeskog down for the season due to his concussion. Coming back too early can put players at risk for a more serious concussion if they get another one when not fully healed. Landeskog skated by himself on Friday, the first time since suffering a concussion on January 26th.
  • Ian Mendes via twitter: It’s not likely that Milan Michalek will play today or on Tuesday. He should have his knee examined by doctors again early this week.
  • Chip Alexander via twitter: Hurricanes Jeff Skinner will not play in Montreal due to an upper-body injury. Michael Smith of Hurricanes.nhl.com: Skinner will be evaluated when they return home on Tuesday. Defensemen Joni Pitkanen and Tim Gleason didn’t practice yesterday and won’t be travelling to Montreal. They are day-to-day with lower-body injuries.
  • Elliott Pap via twitter: Canucks winger David Booth is close to returning and expects to be back in the lineup on their upcoming road trip. Booth on when he might play: “Chicago is a possibility in my mind. Two days is a lot. We’ll see how it feels.”
  • Shawn Mitchell via twitter: Blue Jackets Brandon Dubinsky won’t play today. Defenseman James Wisnieski is joining teammates in Anaheim. Artem Anisimov and Cam Atkinson haven’t been ruled out against the Ducks.
  • Mark Lazerus via twitter: Blackhawks Corey Crawford is “still progressing” according to coach Joel Quenneville and it’s not expected to be a long-term issue.
