- Darren Dreger via twitter: The Predators have put forward Zach Boychuk on waivers. The Maple Leafs have put defenseman Mike Komisarek on waivers. Komisarek has waived his no-movement clause and will report to the AHL Marlies if nobody claims him. Bob McKenzie via twitter: If Komisarek plays well in the AHL, Toronto could recall him or another team may be intrigued enough to trade for him.
- Renaud Lavoie via twitter: Defenseman Mike Commodore is on a PTO with the AHL Stars.
- Bob McKenzie via twitter: College free agent Andrej Sustr (6′ 8″) will go over a list of 20-25 teams that are interested in him, and will likely sign by the weekend.
- Brent Wallace via twitter: The Senators sign goalie Andrew Hammond to a two year entry level deal.
- Hockey Central @ Noon: The Kings really want Jarome Iginla. Miikka Kiprusoffmakes sense for Maple Leafs. It could cost the Leafs one of their goalies, a first round pick and possibly a prospect.

If the Leafs ever traded even a 1st and a prospect, never mind a Goalie, for that washed up 36 year old sieve Kiprusoft. It would rank right up there with the Rask and Kessel deal for totally inept dealing by a useless GM.
