Nick Kypreos: Devils defenseman Anton Volchecnkov will have a phone hearing this morning for his elbow to the head of Bruins Brad Marchand. 10:45 phone call according to Tom Gulitti.
How many games to do you think he should get?

Marchand needs an elbow to the head every time he steps on the ice, the weasel.

Hate to see players get injured but karma for Marchand. Boy who cried wolf got it coming. Feel like Volch thought he was gonna continue skating and crush him but he stopped and decided to lead with his elbow after that. Bad choice by Volch

Can’t say I didn’t like the elbow (c’mon, it’s Marchand), but he’ll get suspended for 3-5 games.

Marchand does what Clarkson does. Every team has one. It’ll be 2 games, and then it’s over with.

Wow. Shocked at the other comments! I wouldn’t wish injury on any player.
Volchenkov led with the elbow, targetted the head and left his feet. No attempt to play the puck and he has been suspended before. 5-7 games

It’s a phoner, so the most he can get is 5. I beleive his suspension was over 2 years ago, so he isn’t a repeat offender anymore.

The questions was, ” How many should he get?” not how many will he get. And the definition of repeat is to do again… so he is a repeat offender.

Yes, but using the information that you were given and knowing what repeat is in the eyes of the league, make a logical point. If we’re just saying what we think he should get people would say the rest of the season or none. Don’t be ignorant.

Volchenkov gets 4 games.

In the future, I’ll try to remember to ask “How many games do you think he should get?” and “How many games will he get?”

There you go Mark, just end all confusion!

Sometimes I come up with good ideas.

He got suspended? I’m shocked.
Brendan Shanahan played for the Devils. Maybe he’s not as close with Lou Lamoriello as he is with Glenn Sather.

Actually it is very clear above. It says, “How many games to do you think he should get?” So I answered. And BooBoo thinks I’m ignorant (okay BooBoo.)
