Adrian Dater of the Denver Post: The trade front for the Avs is currently quiet. If they want to improve their blueline, Paul Stastny may be their best trade chip.

Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The Blues salary cap number currently sit at $56.4 million. They have just under $8 million to sign RFAs Alex Pietrangelo, Chris Stewart and Jake Allen. Teams can go over the cap by 10 percent during the summer, but must be under when the season starts.

“I think we’re going to be able to get everyone under the umbrella,” Armstrong said, “and if need be, we have very valuable pieces — if we have to move players, that’s not going to be an issue finding a home for them.”

Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun: David Clarkson’s deal with the Maple Leafs has a limited no-movement clause. Salary breakdown: $4.5 million, $4.75 million, $5.5 million, $7 million, $7 million, $4.75 million and $3.25 million. Tyler Bozak’s salary breakdown: $3.5 million,  $4 million, $5 million, 4.5 million and $4 million. GM Dave Nonis still has to deal with RFAs: Nazem Kadri, Joe Colborne, Cody Franson, Carl Gunnarsson and Mark Fraser.
