VIDEO: Sharks Brad Stuart To Have Hearing Today After Hit On Rick Nash

  • Pierre LeBrun: Sharks Brad Stuart will have a hearing today for his hit on Rangers Rick Nash.
  • Bob McKenzie: The NHL will be asking the following question: “Was it body on body hit with incidental head contact or was it more of a glancing blow that could have been avoided by taking a better line?”
  • Bob McKenzie: The Rangers concern is for Nash, who missed some time last year with a concussion from a Milan Lucic hit.
  • Steve Zipay: Nash said his headache worsened as the game went on and “You’re concerned anytime there’s a head shot”

COMMENT: Do you think that Stuart should be suspended and if so, for how many games?

“On further review, this hit is extremely similar to the hit last year on Gabrial Landeskog. The main difference we see is that the receiving player is not wearing an Avalanche jersey, and thus we shall suspend Stuart for 3 games.” ~ Brendan Shanahan

At least from this angel it was a deliberate shoulder to the head. Suspension is in order.
