  • Tom Gulitti: Devils Bryce Salvador’s MRI revealed a stress fracture in his foot and has been placed on the IR retroactive to last Tuesday. Lou Lamoriello: “It could be a week, it could be 10 days. It’s just time”
  • Tom Gulitti: The Devils put Cory Schneider on the IR retroactive to last Thursday. He could come off the IR on Friday and only missing one more game.

  • Ansar Khan: Red Wings Johan Franzen won’t be in the lineup Wednesday, hopes to be ready for Friday.
  • Curtis Zupke: Ducks Saku Koivu and Viktor Fasth have returned to Anaheim for evaluation.
  • Bob McKenzie: Penguins Rob Scuderi returned to Pittsburgh to be further evaluation. Nothing is official but hearing it could be four or more weeks.
