Frank Seravalli: Downie left the arena two-plus hours on a stretcher after his fight with Aaron Volpatti. He asked Volpatti to stop during their fight. Renaud Lavoie: Lecavalier will play on Tuesday against the Hurricanes.
Chris Johnston: Maple Leafs Randy Carlyle said that Dave Bolland’s cut is similar to Erik Karlsson’s and was to have surgery last night. Brad Ziemer: Bolland left the arena on a stretcher. Dave Feschuk: Bolland was wearing Kevlar-type socks. They are cut resistant and not cut proof.
David Alter: The Leafs put Tyler Bozak on the LTIR. He won’t be able to return to the lineup until Nov. 21st.
Rich Chere: Devils Cory Schneider said he’s ready to play and is capable of starting tonight. Tom Gulitti: Devils coach Peter DeBoer said it was “possible” that Schneider could start on today. Rich Chere: Martin Brodeur said he won’t be playing against Wild.
