VIDEO: SportsNet HC Trade Tracker: Sabres Steve Ott

Hockey Central panel discusses whether the Sabres should trade Steve Ott. Brad May thinks that Ott will be staying in Buffalo, but he could bring a contender some grit and speed. Mark Spector thinks that since Ott is a pending UFA, it’s likely he’ll get shopped for a young player or draft pick.

May thinks possible destinations are: Canucks, Red Wings and Capitals. Spector thinks possible destinations are: Canucks, Red Wings and Avalanche.

Who do you think the should trade for Ott and at what cost?

ott to detroit, i was talking about this a week ago but don’t have a publication and 100% speculation…

would love to see an a hole like ott on the wings. think the wings are right to bypass a pure fighter for one of 12 spots, but an agitator is something different. question is who do the wings give up? hard to imagine anything other than a draft pick or cory emmerton (+ pick) who seems to have fallen out of favor in detroit.

I’d love to see him in TO. Kadri needs to go.

If Tim Murray can get Detroit’s 2015 first rounder for Ott he will already be loved by all of Buffalo

Why not fill all of the Detroit needs. Ehrhoff, Ott and Miller to Detroit in exchange for Mantha, Howard and two first round picks (2014 and 2015)? The 2014 pick will not produce a player of quality but the 2015 may. Buffalo builds for the future and for Detroit the future is now.
