  • Hope Smoke: Bob McKenzie: “Doesn’t appear that Rinne will be returning any time soon.”
  • Sam Carchidi: Flyers Scott Hartnell is day-to-day with an ankle injury from blocking a shot on Tuesday.
  • Michael Russo: Wild’s Mikko Koivu is walking without crutches and is not limping. He’s not far off from getting back on the ice.
  • Sabres PR: Matt D’Agostini left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.
  • Adrian Dater via Sulia: Avs Erik Johnson could return from his back injury tonight. Paul Stastny is day-to-day. P.A. Parenteau could return next week as he’s ahead of schedule. Alex Tanguay is happy with progress. Nate Guenin will be out another seven to ten days. Cory Sarich had an MRI yesterday, results are not known yet.
  • Mark Masters: Leafs coach Randy Carlyle said that Dave Bolland looked awkward skating the other day as his skate was rubbing against his incision.
  • Dave Stubbs: Canadiens Davis Drewiske’s (shoulder surgery) has been skating on his own, but hasn’t started practicing yet.
  • Ken Wiebe: Jets Evander Kane (hand) won’t travel to Calgary with the team. Coach Paul Maurice said: “he’s not there yet.”
