VIDEO: SportsNet HC Trade Tracker: Ducks Jonas Hiller

Hockey Central panel discusses whether the Anaheim Ducks will trade Jonas Hiller. The 32-year old Hiller is a pending UFA who carries a $4.5 million salary cap hit and salary. Gord Stellick doesn’t see Hiller going anywhere.

Stellick thinks potential destinations for Hiller are: remaining with the Ducks, the Wild and Red Wings.

Do you think the Ducks will trade Hiller? If they do, what do you think you would have to give up for Hiller?

Jonas hiller has proven that he is a reliable goaltender between the pipes for the ducks. With his expiring contract and with the goaltending depth the ducks have, fasth and andersen, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a jonas hiller trade, but with his great performance so far with the ducks, I don’t see them trading him.

If they Duck are serious about a Cup, they won’t trade Jonas Hiller. Hiller and Fasth is a much better combination, and Hiller a great goalie for the playoffs. However, they could go without Fasth next season and have Andersen as a backup

absolutely no chance hiller is traded to the red wings, or any goaltender for that matter

i would not say they are a better team with out hiller BUT they do have alot of depth in net fasth and andersen wouldnt be a bad tandom, and they would still be a contender, that said they are hard up agains the cap, if they want to make aney moves at the deadline that would be the best return with the least effect and free up cap space for somthing bigger
