NHL Trade: The Islanders Trade Andrew MacDonald To Flyers For Picks

The New York Islanders have traded defenseman Andrew MacDonald to the Philadelphia Flyers for a 2015 2nd round pick and a 2014 3rd round pick.

The 27-year old is pending UFA and carries a $550,000 salary cap hit.

MacDonald was drafted 160th overall in the 6th round of the 2006 draft by the Islanders.

    (esp, if they trade the 3rd to improve the 2nd or another of their existing picks)

    I am kind of surprised i really thought Islanders were going to stick hard on a first rounder for him
