NHL Injuries: Stepan, Brassard, Lucic, Kelly, Semin and Loktonov
  • Darren Dreger: The doctors had cleared Derek Stepan to play on Thursday night, but yesterday morning it was determined that he required surgery for a broken jaw. There is no timetable for his return.
  • Stephen Lorenzo: Derrick Brassard remains day-to-day according to Alain Vignealt. NY Daily News said he has a shoulder injury.
  • Jamie Erdahl: Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said that both Milan Lucic (left wrist) and Chris Kelly (herniated disc) had successful surgery.
  • Chip Alexander: Hurricanes GM Ron Francis said that Alex Semin had wrist surgery after the season and that he is expected to be ready for the start of the season.
  • Chip Alexander: Hurricanes GM Ron Francis said that Andrei Loktionov was hurt at the World Championships and will shoulder surgery in Switzerland.
