What people have to understand is that this off-season there is some teams with cap that are going to make hockey decisions as opposed to just sign the best player or players available , and over spend on a player like Ryan Callahan , he’s the ideal guys to play on the right in Toronto or edmonton , but as oppose to Edmonton for example just signing Callahan , will should happen is the oilers trade gagner , and a top pick , get Phaneuf , then the leafs should trade Clarkson to a team with cap or a team that need a 3rd line grinder or a second in some games or scenarios , and they sign brad Richards , it’s not about what the next big move is , its about the type of players you need , and the leads needs a proven puck moving center , but not for 6 m , I would make a safe offer from 4.2 to 5 m a year max

The leafs have little to offer to fill all the holes they have. They need to bite the bullet and look to rebuild through the draft and develope their talent. Same with Canucks but not as dire.
