NHL Trade: Canucks Trade Garrison To The Lightning

The Vancouver Canucks have traded defenseman Jason Garrison, Jeff Costello and a 2015 7th round pick to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2014 2nd round pick, 50th overall.

The 29-year old Garrison was undrafted. He carries a $4.6 million salary cap hit for the next four years.

The 23-year old Costello was drafted 146th in the 5th round of the 2009 draft by the Senators.

    Jim Benning announced today that the club has acquired the 50th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft from Tampa Bay in exchange for Jason Garrison, the rights to Jeff Costello and the Canucks 7th round pick in 2015.
