NHL Video: The Vinny Problem for the Flyers … Senators Could Be Interested

  • Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: The Flyers need to pick up part of the Vincent Lecavalier’s contract if they want to move him. Source saying the Flyers only want to eat $1 million, where others teams want them to eat more and throw in something else, either a pick or player.

“Philly won’t pick up a good portion of the contract with many teams,” a source said, which is why the Flyers are struggling to move Lecavalier.

  • Bruce Garrioch: With Vincent Lecavalier set to make $4.5 million over four years, the Senators don’t want to take on the entire contract, and the Flyers don’t want to eat $2 million of it.

Allen ($3.5 million) for Vinny ($4.5 million) have flyers eat $1-1.5 of his salary. That’d be perfect!!!!!

Ottawa does not need Vinny. Is there anyone more over-paid out there. Leave him in Philly. Put some thought into the way you are spending your money instead of throwing it at a washed up player!
