Rumors XII: Preds, Bruins, Caps, Devils, Avs, Hawks and Flyers
  • Katie Strang: The 1st round pick the Coyotes acquired from the Rangers is lottery protected.
  • Craig Custance: “I thought Predators entire front office might be on a beach somewhere today after shopping early, but hearing they’re kicking some tires.”
  • Darren Dreger: the Bruins are still in trade discussions for a forward. Draft picks are the primary bait, but have other assets in play as well.
  • Alex Prewitt: Capitals coach Barry Trotz on GM MacLellan making any future trades: “I know he’s going to be working at it. If we do anything else, that’s really a question for Mac.”
  • Craig Custance: Devils trading Marek Zidlicky is looking more likely. He has a full no-trade so it would have to be for a cup contender.
  • Terry Jones: May be Flames could send their newly acquired 2nd round pick and a 3rd round pick to the Oilers for Jeff Petry.
  • Adrian Dater: Think the Avs may be able to get a third round pick for Jan Hejda.
  • Brian Hedger: Blackhawks Brent Seabrook “Some of the rumors that have been said, I think are laughable. You know, there’s nothing going on in this locker room.”
  • Darren Dreger: Teams are calling the Flyers about their defense. The Flyers are listening and are interested in making some moves.
  • Randy Miller of NJ.com: Flyers Nicklas Grossman left Saturday’s game with an upper-body injury after being hit by a Rick Nash shot, which could effect his trade value. The Flyers are also looking to move Braydon Coburn and Luke Schenn
