  • Boston Bruins: Coach Claude Julien on Zdeno Chara “He’s day-to-day; today was a maintenance day. I know he’s better today than he was after last game. We’ll hope for the best”
  • Joe McDonald: Chara was in discomfort after blocking a shot during Saturday’s game. He was able to finish the game. The Bruins have called up defenseman Joe Morrow.
  • Alex Prewitt: Capitals Tom Wilson spent Sunday night in hospital (after taking the slap shot to the head) and flew home yesterday.
  • Ansar Khan: Red Wings GM Ken Holland thinks that Justin Abdelkader will be out tonight, but is possible for the weekend.
  • Andy Strickland: Blues Vladimir Tarasenko and Alex Steen won’t be held out of any of their remaining games if they are able to play.
  • Chris Stevenson: Senators coach Dave Cameron said that Milan Michalek suffered a setback in his recovery and is doubtful for this week.
  • Andrew Gross: Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein (broken left arm) skated before practice yesterday, but is still not holding a stick.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils Stephen Gionta (lower back) was back at practice yesterday.
  • Craig Morgan: Coyotes Mikkel Boedker will travel with the team, but he won’t be playing. Coach Dave Tippett said it’s “mind therapy” for Boedker.
  • Michael Russo: Wild’s Matt Cooke hopes to be able to play tonight: “I definitely want to head out there and help, that’s for sure.”
  • Mike Harrington: Sabres Mike Weber needs surgery for his lower-body injury and is done for the year.
