  • Pat Hickey: The Canadiens have signed Tomas Plekanec to a two-year contract extension. He’ll get $7 million next year, and $5 million the following year.

The 32-year old Plekanec was drafted 71st overall in the third round of the 2001 draft by the Canadiens.
