On the Wild …

  • Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: Niklas Backstrom will backup Darcy Kuemper tonight as Devan Dubnyk is out with a mild groin strain. Backstrom hasn’t dressed for the Wild since training camp – he’s only practiced. The Wild were unable to buy him out in the offseason as he was injured. He wants to be traded and won’t allow them to send him to the AHL – he has a no-movement clause. Dubnyk is hoping to practice on Thursday and get into one of their games this weekend.

On the Flyers …

  • Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer: Defenseman Luke Schenn will be out two weeks after suffering an injury on Saturday. Schenn fell awkwardly into the boards and appeared to injure his left foot or ankle.

On the Blues …

On the Flames …

  • Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun: Lance Bouma practiced with the team yesterday for the first time since he broke his fibula back on October 13th. He’s ahead of the 10-12 week original schedule.

“Just healed really well, and I got out there a little quicker than expected,” said Bouma, who had been skating on his own for more than a week.

“It feels fine. It’s not quite up to speed yet, but I don’t feel anything (negative) in the legs.”

On the Lightning …

On the Coyotes …

  • Craig Morgan: The Coyotes have put Shane Doan on the IR. He has been dealing with a groin injury since training camp.

On the Blackhawks …
