  • Dave Isaac: Flyers GM Ron Hextall now has word that defenseman Braydon Coburn may only be out days and not weeks like originally thought.
  • Andrew Gross: The Rangers confirm that center Matthew Lombardi will be put on unconditional waivers. Larry Brooks: Lombardi is expected to return to Europe. Once he clears waivers, his contract with the Rangers will be voided.
  • Nicholas Goss of NESN: Multiple reports saying that Buffalo will hosting the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The 2015 draft will be hosted by the Panthers. Rumors that the Maple Leafs could get the 2017 draft as part of their 100th anniversary.
  • Frank Seravalli: Flyers GM Hextall said that they have suspended fourth round pick Marcel Noebel, and that he’s been put on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract. Noebel left Reading of the ECHL.
  • Chip Alexander: Cam Ward will start in net for the Hurricanes tonight.
  • Andrew Gross: The Rangers recall defenseman Michael Kostka with Dan Boyle out for at least a month.
  • Mike Morreale: The Penguins have sent 2014 first round pick Kasperi Kapanen back to Finland.
  • Michael Russo: Darcy Kuemper will start in net for the Wild tomorrow.
  • Rich Chere: Cory Schneider will start in net for the Devils tomorrow.
  • Steve Zipay: Cam Talbot will start in net for the Rangers tomorrow. Henrik Lundqvist will start for the Rangers on Sunday.
