Quick Hits: Resting, Injuries, Starters, Lines and Man Games Lost
  • Pat Leonard: Rangers Marc Staal, Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello will be given the night off. Defenseman Kevin Klein skated, but remains out.
  • Joe Smith: Lightning’s Victor Hedman was at the optional skate this morning, a good chance he returns tonight.
  • Ken Wiebe: Jets Tobias Enstrom is skating with the main and with Dustin Byfuglien. A likely sign that he’ll miss his third straight game.
  • Seth Rorabaugh: Penguins coach Mike Johnston said that Derrick Pouliot is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Nic Spaling missed practice with a lower-body injury, but is expected to play tomorrow.
  • Matthew Sekeres: Looking like Ryan Miller will at least back up after Jacob Markstrom’s bags are packed and he’s left Rogers arena.
  • Mark Lazerus: Blackhawks Patrick Kane didn’t travel with the team to St. Louis.
  • Darren Dreger: The Maple Leafs will recall Colton Orr. He’s in the last year of his contract and could be contemplating retirement.
  • Stephen Whyno: The Predators sign Steve Moses to a one-year deal worth $1 million.
  • Renaud Lavoie: Jimmy Howard will start in net for the Red Wings, Carey Price for the Canadiens.
  • ESPN Chicago: Blackhawks lines: Versteeg-Toews-Hossa, Saad-Vermette-Baun, Bickell-Shaw-Sharp, Nordstrom-Desjardins-Teravainen.
