- Shawn Mitchell via twitter: Blue Jackets defenseman James Wisniewski was put on the IR and will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a broken right foot.
- St. Louis Blues: The Blues put Andy McDonald on the IR with a left knee injury. Alex Steen is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Jeremy Rutherford via twitter: Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said that Steen hasn’t be ruled out for tomorrow’s game.
- Chris Nichols via twitter: The Oilers put Nikolai Khabibulin on the IR and have called up Yann Danis.
- BlueShirtsUnited: Defenseman Ryan McDonagh practiced with teammates today for an optional practice and will be returning to the lineup after missing one game. Rick Nash and Michael Del Zotto also practiced, but are unsure if they’ll be able to get back into the lineup tomorrow.
- Jonas Siegel via twitter: Colton Orr and Mike Brown will return to the lineup tonight. David Steckel is out.
- George Richards via twitter: Panthers Filip Kuba (upper-body injury) skated with Mike Caruso (wrist) before practice.
- Tracey Myers via twitter: Blackhawks Dave Bolland is out tomorrow. He hasn’t started skating yet.
- Erik Erlendsson via twitter: Lightning list Sami Salo is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
- Ottawa Senators via twitter: Senators Milan Michalek practice today and will travel with the team. It’s unlikely that he plays tomorrow or over the weekend.

- Darren Dreger via twitter: Escow for this year has been set at 10%.
- Kevin McGran via twitter: Maple Leafs Matt Frattin was on the ice for the Leafs optional skate this morning. James Mirtle via twitter: The Leafs have recalled Frattin, Lupul heading the IR. Steve Simmons via twitter: Normal recovery time for a fractured forearm is 4 to 6 weeks. If a pin is needed to be inserted, recovery can be longer. Darren Dreger via twitter: The Leafs are still waiting for a full medical report on Lupul. Best case scenario could be 4 weeks.
- Frank Seravalli via twitter: Once Niko Hovinen clears through waivers, his contract will be terminated. A move could be coming. They are currently at 50 contracts with Scott Laughton. Dustin Leed via twitter: Leed is guessing that once Hovinen contract is terminated, the Flyers could be signing a forward.
- Jeremy Rutherford via twitter: Blues Wade Redden is expected to be paired with Alex Pietrangelo. Ian Cole will sit. Lou Korac via twitter: Blues recall Ian Cole as Jeff Woywitka clears waivers.
- Katie Strang via twitter: The Rangers have recalled Kris Newbury to likely replace Aaron Asham.
- Michael Russo via twitter: Jonas Brodin has been called up by Wild. The Wild will assess Jared Spurgeon’s health before deciding if Matt Dumba is returned to junior or not.
- Ted Kulfan via twitter: Red Wings Valtteri Filppula has had a knee issue since playing in Finland. He’ll continue to play through it.
- Bruce Garrioch via twitter: Panthers defenseman Mike Caruso is out with a broken wrist.
- George Richards via twitter: Panthers coach Kevin Dineen said that Kris Versteeg skated today, should practice tomorrow, but is still questionable for Saturday against the Flyers.
